Ok so since finals are coming up next week I cannot help but find the humor (or geeky-ness) in some of the stuff I will soon be tested on. I find myself very excited when my teachers will say any of these words then find myself very disappointed when they are talking about nothing even remotely close to anime or video games (eh I should expect as much but I still wanna hold out hope)
Light (visible light) is the fraction of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye, bounded by wavelengths of 400 nm and 780 nm.
OR
Light could be a main character in the series Death Note where a boy (Light) finds a Death Note and tries to change the world by killing off the 'scum' of the earth…
REM (rapid eye moment sleep) also know as "skeletal paralysis" and is the stage of sleep where dreams occur. In this stage our eyes appear to be darting under the lids and sometime our body will twitch. REM occurs multiple times during sleep and gets longer as each time it occurs.
OR
Rem COULD be a shinigami introduced to us in the Death Note series who's death note falls into the hands of a little Japanese pop-star-princess, Misa. XP
V1 + C1 = V2 + C2 this is the dilution formula we used in chemistry where the Cs and the Vs are concentration and volume respectfully
OR
V2 and C2 could be characters that belong to the Code Geass series hehehe
μ (greek letter mu) Used in statistics to represent the mean of a sample for a given population (I think?)
BUT
In my world it is a cute little pokemon and when you are comparing more then one μ it is written out as μ sub 2 (mu 2) which is a big scary mean pokemon that has a god complex
(we also talk about π/pi a lot and that just makes me hungry)
ok I think I probably embarrassed myself enough, if anyone else has any other geek-ness I would love to hear about it!!! <3
