Ok so I know what cosplay is but I got a message from someone that made me kinda upset to say the least and in the heat of a rebuttal I ended up writing this nice long speech thing:

While I appreciate your opinion I don't understand what I am doing wrong.  I studied this particular costume for many hours (as I do all of my other works) and I feel I have everything as accurately as my power will permit me.  The hat, the shoes, the shirt, the necklace, the keychain, and even the eye color are present and as precise as this world will allow me.  Yes I will admit that my arms may not as muscular as others due to the lack of testosterone running though my female body, but besides that I cannot SEE anything wrong with me.
As cosplayers we are encouraged to interpret that which exists in a different world and it is not far to say that someone cannot play a character because of something such as gender or race.  I have seen very good cosplayers and I have seen some not so good cosplayers.  Among the good ones there are women playing men, men playing women, and people with darker skin playing white skinned people, as well as white skinned people playing darker skinned people.  I would have to say that there are a rare few cosplayers that have the exactly body shape and facial structure that is required to play any character.
The characters and creatures that we choose to dress up as are made up through people's imaginations where gender is defined by how the creator wants their characters to be portrayed.  In the real world our sex is defined as male or female but our gender can be defined as how we want to be portrayed.  I think that criticizing someone by what they were born with is unfair and has always been a form of repression.  Cosplay is a way for us to find freedom from the real world and be someone that we cannot be in this life.  We can be heroes or villains, demons or angles, robots, goddesses, animals, vampires, zombies, and of all of these we can be either male or female.
Again I appreciate your opinion but next time you want to pass judgment on my costume please help me by telling me there is something wrong with my hat or my shoes don't look quiet right and leave my sex out of this.  Cosplay is an art and art is an interpretation which can be neither right nor wrong.  As far as I am concerned I am doing it right and I will continue to do it my way.

That is the gist of it and I just wanted to get it posted here cuz, well, I dunno I guess I didn't want to loose it...

Ok so since finals are coming up next week I cannot help but find the humor (or geeky-ness) in some of the stuff I will soon be tested on.  I find myself very excited when my teachers will say any of these words then find myself very disappointed when they are talking about nothing even remotely close to anime or video games (eh I should expect as much but I still wanna hold out hope)

Light (visible light)   is the fraction of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye, bounded by wavelengths of 400 nm and 780 nm.

OR

Light could be a main character in the series Death Note where a boy (Light) finds a Death Note and tries to change the world by killing off the 'scum' of the earth…:D

REM (rapid eye moment sleep) also know as "skeletal paralysis" and is the stage of sleep where dreams occur.  In this stage our eyes appear to be darting under the lids and sometime our body will twitch.  REM occurs multiple times during sleep and gets longer as each time it occurs.

OR

Rem COULD be a shinigami introduced to us in the Death Note series who's death note falls into the hands of a little Japanese pop-star-princess, Misa.  XP

V1 + C1 = V2 + C2 this is the dilution formula we used in chemistry where the Cs and the Vs are concentration and volume respectfully

OR

V2 and C2 could be characters that belong to the Code Geass series hehehe

μ (greek letter mu) Used in statistics to represent the mean of a sample for a given population (I think?)

BUT

In my world it is a cute little pokemon and when you are comparing more then one μ it is written out as μ sub 2 (mu 2) which is a big scary mean pokemon that has a god complex :P  (we also talk about π/pi a lot and that just makes me hungry)

ok I think I probably embarrassed myself enough, if anyone else has any other geek-ness I would love to hear about it!!! <3

Ok this Entry was originally ment to just fill that empty space on my page that says 'you have no jounal entries, click new journal entry to write a journal entry'...ok it really doesn't say anything close to that but you get the picture.  At the time all I could think to say was 'yo' so I did.  It was simple, it was easy, and it got rid of that message.  Then my roomate came into my room and was like "'Yo', is that really all you wanted to say?" and I was like "Yes, I needed to say something that would get rid of the lame message that is telling me I have no entries in my journal" and she was all like "You know everyone is going to see that right?  And all you had to say was 'yo'" and I a said "GOOD!".  Then I suddenly felt the urge to exsplain myself and now everyone just got me going on about the journal entry...I rock...X.x
